Feed day

Filed under: TSK — Dan @ 7:01 pm

Well today I got in early to start feeding. Fed all the balls yesterday. But this morning I wanted to ge the chondros done before Colette came in. I was really excited when our new chondros we just received all ate pinky mice. Nothing like a GTP that eats without having to be teased. So they are off to a great start. If you are looking for any GTPs we will be selling a couple 2 year olds. Just send us an email if you are interested. Colettes hand is doing a little better. Still hard for here to get alot done until it is all healed. That is about all the news for now.

9/11

Filed under: TSK — Dan @ 9:32 am

Just a short write here. Today is 9/11 I have something to say about today. A year ago I was talking to my wife about the “We will never forget” slogan we always here about today. I was like what is the big deal……..I really did not like it. But now look how things have changed. Now our President has made it a national day of service. Not a day of rememberance. This is WRONG. We do not want what really happened on this day 8 years ago erased from our childrens minds. We must teach our kids what really happened and we have to “NOT FORGET” we can not let down our guard. Today I understand that old slogan and agree with it. Fly your flag proudly today and everyday you can and stand for truth and freedom. Tomorrow you may loose yet another freedom so celedrate today. I was having to explain to my girls yesterday about the plane that did not make it to the target on 9/11. Those people are my heros they knew what had to be done and they did it and made the ultimate sacrfice. The Firefighters are my heros, all the people in the towers and on the ground…..HEROS. Families and loved ones left behind to pick up the pieces and move forward with their lives…….HEROS. All have thier reward in heaven waiting for them.

Fly your flag remember who you are and stand for what is right and remember what our country was built on the Constitution. Som eof our leaders and not doing a very good job upholding it. Write and call your Congressman and Senators tell them how you feel. They need to know what you think. You have the right to VOTE use it or you may loose it.

Okay back to snakes. UPS just brought me a boxs full of snakes. Some new Green Tree Pythons. Got to go get them put away.

Back at work

Filed under: TSK — Dan @ 9:07 am

Well the Anaheim show is over and was a great success. We were very pleased with the sales at the show. Brian and Bob did a great job as always putting on a great show. So we have been home for three days now and we are about cought up on the work here. Having some employees here to help makes all the difference.

Getting back to what I was tweeting on yesterday Colette is still putting snakes in the “mine” rack. I just did a quick count and she is up to 108 snakes she is holding back. So here is a tid bit for you. If you see any animals listed in the future that say there were hold backs you know you are getting something extra special. I doubt she will hold all those over the next year but for now they are staying here. She usually keeps them for a little while then decides what she really wants and sells the rest.

I have another rack and a half to photograph today and then I will be caught up on pictures. Soon as that is done I have some pics I just have to share with you. The hypo pastel mojave is just a sight to see. I just had to stare at it when I took it out for pics. Hey thanks for the comments on the blog. The more people comment the better it will be and make a good read for people. Well got to go if I start now I may be done by lunch with the pics. When each snake gets four pics each and I have about 100 snakes to do the math tell you I have a lot of work to get done.

Anaheim

Filed under: TSK — Dan @ 9:46 am

Quick update this morning from the NARBC show. Yesterday was a great day. Many of us were a little worried about it being a hoilday weekend that attendance would be not so good. Well to our surprise we had a large crowd waiting to get in the doors. Sales were good so no complaints here. Plus coming back to California for us is a treat. I should have got some pics for you all of the belly dancers in a booth maybe they will be back today who knows. Hey did you know you can leave comments here on my blog? If you went to the show please sign up and leave some comments on this post. I would love to hear form you what you thought about the show. Especially if you have any insight to improve our booth for any reason. We brought alot of animals but still people were asking for things we did not bring. I should have people send in request for what they would like at the show. Well it is a short day today at the show so if you are coming get here when it opens as the 11-4 days goes fast. See you there.

Daytona aftermath

Filed under: TSK — Dan @ 8:44 pm

Coming home from a show is always interesting. There is so much to do and everything is mostly where you left off. You know how it is going on vacation. Well it is the same but going to Daytona is no vacation. Lucky for us our daughter took care of all the new snakes hatching. We had a Killer Clown hatch while we were gone and she was so excited. She was texting me all about it. Things are in full swing now here as if they were not before Daytona. The show season has started and until the shows are over in two months things get a little stressed. Hatching out babies every day is a lot of fun and work. Giving every one of the a unique ID takes alot of time. Not too many breeders take the time to ID every snake they have but we sure feel it is an added value to the customer.

We have the rest of this week and a couple days next week and we are off to the NARBC Anaheim show. We fell this is the best show of the year for us since it is like going back home. Love California but hate thier budget situation right now. Any thanks for the comments on the site. There is more to come just have to get it all up there.

Storm & The New Site.

Filed under: TSK — Dan @ 8:53 am

A powerful storm came through the area last night. As far as we can tell we survived the power outage. Good thing as that always worries you when the power goes out and you still have eggs cooking. We took the kids to the park for some fishing last night and there was downed limbs everywhere. We even saw a fire from lighting about a 1/4 mile away. Any ways though the shop is safe.

We are working non stop trying to finish up enough of the site that we can get it live and then finish it up as we go. You will notice we brought over all the cotent from the old site but we are adding more as well. Some of the functions will not be working yet but expect to see them soon. If you find things are not working or need adjusting please email the problems over to us.
